Telecommuting web designer services

Thursday, April 24th, 2008

We provide web design and website programming contract work for small businesses looking to hire a telecommuter.

What is telecommuting? According to Wikipedia:

Telecommutinge-commutinge-workteleworkworking at home (WAH), or working from home (WFH) is a work arrangement in which employees enjoy limited flexibility in working location and hours. In other words, the daily commute to a central place of work is replaced by telecommunication links.

Telecommuting saves gas, time and energy because we are not driving to a central office everyday. If you are in need of a part-time, full-time or contract web master who will work from home, please call us at 910-234-0969, or use our contact form to email us:

We provide telecommuting services to the following states: NC, SC, VA, TN.

What is CMS?

Friday, March 28th, 2008

CMS is short for Content Management System; it is an application designed to give users the ability to manage their web site’s content.

Some websites have pages that are mainly static, and some sites have pages that need constant updating. Instead of having the site owner call me every time they need a change, it is more efficient for me to give them that ability.
However, most people don’t know HTML/CSS code and do not want to bother learning. So, using a CMS, I can give users a nice user friendly interface that will allow them to manage content without knowing a bunch of geeky programming languages. The interface is similar to a Word document; they have a big open box where they can type in the text and they also have a toolbar where they can do simple tasks such as bold, italics, underline, add hyper links, spell check, etc. They can even upload images using this system.
If you are looking for an application like this, please contact us for more information.

Impulse launches Google Sites Website

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Google has just launched Google Sites and we have launched a small site to demonstrate how it works. You must have a Google Apps for my domain account to use this new product.

The concept was originally established by JotSpot but Google bought them out in October 2006 and have relaunched the idea as Google Sites.

JotSpot was a hosted wiki platform for building collaborative websites.
